The lady’s of Incline take top honors in the High Jump at NightHawk season opener.

Injuries may have hampered the team this season before it began. Highlanders will compete in multiple events. The High Jump may show Incline at the top. Saturday’s meet had Samantha Giangreco, freshwomen Millie Jenkins and Jada Moore along with captain Hailey Carlson taking the top four spots on the day.

Weather was overcast with a cold breeze keeping athletes bundled between flights.

Giangreco scored 3rd in the 200-meter and first in the high jump to begin the season and improve upon last years performance. She showed improvement in the discus though her throws fouled outside the vector.

The freshman girls of Jada Moore and Millie Jenkins show promise as Jenkins took first in the long jump to complete a sweep along with DJ Littleton on the boys side taking the same honor. Moore rehabbing from a knee injury placed second in high jump and ran a 30.58 in the 200 meter behind Ginangreco’s time of 29.71.

The Ladies will look add to their experience this Saturday, March 17th at the Yerington Relay starting at 9am.
