Incline Highlanders hosted their annual spring sports awards Wednesday night. This was the finish to the day of Christine Schwartz signing her college acceptance to Missouri Valley to play golf in the spring.

Schwartz was also named female senior athlete of the year. This is a year where she finished second at the NIAA state golf championship and anchored the team for the fourth consecutive State Championship. Christine was captain of the basketball team that finished the season in regional play.

The male athlete of the year went to Victor Herrera, captain of the boys soccer team and member of the JROTC air rifle team. Herrera will continue playing soccer in the Incline area as he will attend Sierra Nevada College in the fall.

Honoring the memory of Eric Hays and his dedication to the community, athletics and academics the award was bestowed upon Conor Nix. Nix received the award in the fall for football. He will attend San Diego State in the fall and walk on the football program.
